Team Hopkins Mat Rules

Shoes may not be worn in the training area.
All students are required to wear a gi/kimono while training. Gi/kimono must be white. Uniform must have a professor Sauer patch.
Do not put gi/kimono on the floor.
Have gi/kimono and belt folded neatly when arriving and leaving the academy, or in the bag you're supposed to have.
Class is three parts: warm-up, technique, and open mat. You are expected at all three.
Fingernails and toenails must be kept trimmed.
No gum or tobacco chewing in the academy or outside the building.
Any student arriving late will ask permission to enter the class.
No one will leave the training area without notifying someone.
Absolutely no talking during class.
Work will be directed by the instructor.
Instruction will be done by instructors, if you are not one, keep your mouth shut.
If you are sick, do not come to class.
Leave all jewelry and valuables at home.
Do not go outside barefoot and come back on the mats.
No cell phones.
Remember this is not a bjj club, mma school or gym. It is a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academy, treat it as such.
Professor Sauer will be addressed as such at all times, no exceptions.
Absolutely no profanity in the academy. If you use foul language, you will be asked to leave.
